Charity Activities

Operation Christmas Child

All pupils within school had the opportunity to fill an old shoe box wrapped in Christmas Paper and filled with small gifts for children for communities in need across Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Operation Christmas Child is an initiative of Samaritan’s Purse UK.

Douglas McMillan Coffee Morning

The school holds a Douglas McMillan Coffee Morning which supports the hospice that cares for adults with a palliative or end of life diagnosis across North Staffordshire.

Roald Dahl Day

Our Roald Dahl Day supports the Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity who help to make life better for seriously ill children in the UK and their Nurses provide support to children with serious illnesses, and their families.

Other Community Activities

Young Voices

A group of pupils (with the help of staff) formed a school choir to participate in the annual Young Voices which is a national school choir competition. The competition aims to connect children with music.

Creative Writing Afternoon

Pupils from all years were challenged to create a story based around a boat that mysteriously washed up on the school playground.

Remembrance Sunday

Some pupils were selected to participate in the Remembrance Sunday Parade which took part in Biddulph

Park Lane Care Home

A group of pupils have visited Park Lane care Home at Christmas to sing carols to the residents.

Harvest Festival

Pupils have celebrated the Harvest Festival in an assembly.

Enterprise Day

Pupils have participated in an Enterprise day which consisted of a variety of interactive activities.
