We all learn best when we are happy and supported, challenged and encouraged. At James Bateman we strive to make sure learning is enriching and enjoyable. We work with every pupil to nurture their individual abilities and to equip them for success, both academically and in terms of life skills.

    On Tuesday 20th June, Year 6 went to Astbury Watersports Centre where they took part in kayaking, mega SUP, paddle boarding, shelter building, fire lighting and orienteering. The focus of the visit was to further develop water confidence, foster team spirit and enable students to achieve through experimental learning in the great outdoors. Well done to all of year 6 who put 100% in to all activities, demonstrating great teamwork as well as having an amazing day!

    Blazer Update - Hot Weather Reminder Due to the ongoing hot weather, pupils are not required to wear blazers. Please ensure your child stays cool and comfortable, and remember to bring a water bottle and sun protection if needed. Thank you for your support in helping everyone stay safe in the heat!

    Well done to our year 6 students who all took part in our annual swimming festival at Biddulph Leisure Centre last week. The festival sets out to further develop water confidence and was yet again a huge success. The atmosphere was amazing and everybody had a great time!
