Our Year 7 students who have remained in school have been investigating the different bridges found across London, exploring how structures such as suspension bridges, beam bridges and arch bridges are designed to carry weight. After learning about the engineering behind these famous landmarks, students were challenged to design and build the strongest bridge using paper, art straws and a limited amount to tape. Working in teams, they tested their ideas, adapted their designs and used mathematical thinking to create stable and resilient structures.

James Bateman hosted a fantastic afternoon of netball with our Year 3 first school children from Moor First School, Knypersley First School, Kingsfield First School and Oxhey First School in March. 40 year 7&8 sports leaders and 160 Year 3 students participated in 10 stations helping them to develop their ball skills and team play. The sun was out and everyone had a great time and met some new friends. A huge well done to our leaders and all the children who took part and thank you to all the teachers who brought the children.
