What a day of rugby!!! Well, done to the Y8 rugby team they went to play in the county cup at Stafford rugby club today to further develop and test their rugby skills. The morning session consisted of group matches to seed the teams for the afternoon. The team finished 2nd in their group with some amazing games only losing 1 game in the morning winning all the others. They were then placed in to tier 2 for the afternoon tournament. A 1-1 draw in the first game to a very tough team was the foundation for the boys to step up and play some of the best rugby they have played this year, they went on to win all remaining games to be crowned tier 2 champions. The team were a credit to the school, the knocks and injuries by the end of the day showed how much they worked for each other. They have one more tournament next week to finish off their rugby journey at James Bateman and hopefully inspire the years below to follow in their footsteps.
