5RB and 5RJ demonstrating their cheerleading skills learnt so far in their PE lessons by putting together their own routines. They are working very hard to produce some great, innovative routines - well done girls!

Another fantastic Special Mentions Assembly at James Bateman Middle School. We are so proud of the effort, behaviour and determination shown by our pupils this week. We celebrate our pupils every week, recognising the positive choices they make and the hard work they put in. Well done to all those celebrated today. #TeamBateman #SpecialMentions #Proud

Well done to the Y5/6 football team. They played in the EFL Utilita Cup hosted by Port Vale today. The team played some amazing football only losing 1 game but missing out on a quarter final place by goal difference. Well done to all involved.

A little late, but for a lovely reason... Before Christmas, our talented Year 7 students created these fantastic Clarice Cliff inspired, bottle kiln candle holders. The designs were influenced by Clarice Cliff's bold patterns and strong links to the pottery industry, with students carefully shaping, decorating and finishing each piece by hand. This post is a little delayed as we didn't want to spoil the surprise and hope these made very special Christmas presents to those lucky enough to receive one. We're incredibly proud of the creativity, craftsmanship and effort shown by Year 7.
