A huge thank you to Higher Horizons+ for a brilliant day at Keele University for the Rollercoaster Challenge! Competing against five other secondary schools, the day began with a fantastic poster presentation, followed by an exciting physics workshop exploring magnetics. A special well done to our finalists ( Archie and Jacob a take out of can't use names ) for their rollercoaster design, Bird's Eye View, and to our two other teams who represented the school so well throughout the competition. The day finished with an inspiring pathways talk, giving students a great insight into future opportunities. We are incredibly proud of everyone involved!

Yesterday afternoon, 5RJ explored capacity and volume. They used our division, fraction, and multiplication knowledge to work out volumes of some very strange blue pop, mysterious boxes, and a very weird looking coffee topped with floating eyeballs! I wonder if these strange looking potions are from the magical forest fairies in A Midsummer Night's Dream!
