Recruiting School Crossing Patrols in Newcastle & the Staffordshire Moorlands We are seeking your support in helping us recruit School Crossing Patrols across Newcastle and the Staffordshire Moorlands, including permanent and mobile relief positions. These roles provide an important service, helping children and families travel safely to and from school. Both roles are term-time only, include full training and uniform, and offer paid hours throughout the year. School Crossing Patrols typically operate twice daily, with duty times usually falling between 7:30–9:00am and 2:30–4:00pm. Each duty lasts between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the location. Vacancies include: Permanent patrol roles, with multiple live vacancies across Newcastle and the Staffordshire Moorlands. Mobile Relief Patrols, ideal for those who can travel at short notice to cover absences. A vehicle and full driving licence are essential for these positions. Mileage and travel time are paid. Year 7 had an amazing visit to the The British Ironwork Centre today! Pupils were a credit to the school, showing excellent behaviour throughout the trip and representing us brilliantly. Staff at the centre commented on how well behaved the children were and how smart they looked, which was fantastic to hear. It was wonderful to see so many pupils fully engaged and enjoying the experience. Lots of children said they had a great time, loved the visit, and would happily come again in the future!

We would like to say thank you to Staffordshire Safer Roads for visiting our school and delivering an informative session to our Year 8 students today. As our students prepare for the next stage of their education, these sessions play a vital role in helping them understand how to stay safe and make responsible choices as they gain more independence. Important topics such as road safety awareness, safe travel habits and the potential risks young people may encounter when out and about were all covered, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to navigate new journeys safely. Thank you again for your support in keeping our young people safe.
