VE Day Picnic Celebration! Today our school came together to commemorate Victory in Europe Day with a joyful picnic on the playground! Our students enjoyed delicious treats, patriotic decorations, and time together all while learning about the importance of VE Day and honoring the sacrifices made by those who served. It was a wonderful way to blend history, community, and celebration. Thank you to all the staff, students, and families who helped make this special day one to remember!

To mark VE Day, our Year 5 students created beautiful oil pastel poppy artworks set against backgrounds of wartime newspaper prints. The bold red flowers stood out vividly, symbolizing remembrance and hope, while the historical backdrops helped students reflect on the significance of the day. A wonderful blend of history and creativitywell done to all our young artists for such thoughtful and powerful work!
