School Council & Pupil Voice
What is a school council?
- Giving students a chance to say in school matters
- A place where views are listened to
- Sharing ideas
- Giving students experience of creating new initiatives
- Respecting students
- Respecting the environment around our school
- Involving the whole school community
- Making a platform for students to have the right to express their views
What do our School Council do at the meetings?
- The School Council will meet at least once a term and hopefully each half-term.
- The Council will listen to the views and opinions of the students and staff at the school, will participate in meetings and give feedback to their form groups.
- Other students/members of staff may be invited to the meetings if necessary, e.g. head boy/girl, Mrs. Price etc.
- The School Council will work to implement parts of their manifesto throughout the year.
